WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Also known as collagen induction therapy, microneedling is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as scars, age spots, sun damage and pigmentation on the face.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A microneedling machine is used over the face to penetrate the epidermis and dermis of the skin with tiny sterile needles to initiate a wound healing response. This aids optimum product absorption and increases collagen production to tighten and thicken the skin. Any old misaligned collagen (scar tissue) and pigmentation is broken down and removed by the body.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Microneedling is minimally invasive and can be performed via a 45minute luxury facial. The skin is double-cleansed, sterilised, microneedled with EGF serum, deeply rehydrated and then protected with SPF. Microneedling requires little to no downtime and is safe for most clients.

FAQ

"WHEN DO RESULTS SHOW?"

Improvements can be felt after the first treatment and should start to be seen by the second treatment. Improvements can continue for several months after completing the treatment plan. The frequency of treatments depends on the microneedling plan chosen, plans vary from 3 to 5 treatments with some 2 weeks apart and others 4 weeks apart.

"WILL IT HURT?"

Any discomfort and inflammation does vary from client to client but this will be discussed during your consultation. Clients are more than welcome to purchase a lidocaine skin cream from any pharmacy to bring to their appointment if numbing of the skin is desired.

"DO I NEED MICRONEEDLING OR ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT?"

Anti-wrinkle treatments work best as a preventative measure by preventing the muscles from contracting and forming dynamic lines in the skin before they become static lines (fine lines and wrinkles). Whereas, microneedling improves the appearance of aging by stimulating collagen production, making it a good option for those looking to treat fine lines and wrinkles already formed in the skin.
